Dirty little showtunes! – A MUSICAL REVUE BY Tom orr

Produced by Desert Rose Productions, Inc. at The Commissary, 69620 Highway 111, Rancho Mirage, CA
Rehearsals start June 18, 2012 – schedule TBA to accommodate conflicts.
Previews July 19-20 at 8 PM;  Opening July 21, 2012 at 8 PM. 
Performances scheduled for Thursdays – Saturdays at 8, Sundays at 2. 
Auditions will be scheduled for the week of May 21.

ABOUT THE SHOW:  DIRTY LITTLE SHOWTUNES! is a parody musical revue that marries Broadway’s greatest melodies with the lyrics of matchless lyricist Tom Orr for a rollicking look at gay life, love, and lust. This six-man sweet, smart, sassy, sexy, and satirical revue has been called “perhaps the gayest show ever”.  Thrill to “I Am the Very Model of a Modern Homosexual”, “Bossy Bottoms”, “The Big Gay Marriage Medley,  “Gay, Gray & Glorious” and “Show Queens”  plus parodies from WickedThe ProducersGrey Gardens and more! ROLES:  Six men of various ages, types, ethnicities and voices - a cross-section of the community.
Three men should be comfortable in “butch drag” (leather, bear, muscle, daddy) and three should be verycomfortable as Drag Queens who know how to work an outfit.   All six men are “boys” in Act 1; three change into Drag Queens at intermission.  All parts require live singing and energetic, charismatic performing skills.  Basic dance skills are needed.  THERE IS PERFORMANCE PAY FOR ALL ACTORS.

July 6 - 22, Musical "FAME" at Palm Canyon Theatre

FAME Set during the last years of New York City's celebrated High School for the Performing Arts on 46th Street (1980-1984), “Fame—The Musical” is bittersweet but ultimately inspiring story of a diverse group of students as they commit to four years of grueling artistic and academic work. July 4th, AAP Benefit at O''Donnell House Save the Date
