If you’re looking for something fun to do this summer, come on down to Palm Springs VillageFest! 

The popular weekly street festival which runs every Thursday night along Palm Canyon Drive between Baristo and Amado roads from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. during season – will start an hour later during summer – from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. beginning Thursday, June 7. 

Look for special events and live entertainment at VillageFest this summer! 

Celebrating its 21st anniversary, VillageFest is consistently voted the best weekly event in the area, attracting thousands of visitors and offering more than 200 booths with art, handcrafted items and unique food. Shops, boutiques, galleries and restaurants stay open late.

The Palm Springs Art Museum is pleased to present the summer 2012 FREE film series in its Annenberg Theater. Once again, the museum has teamed up with the Global Film Initiative to offer a unique and varied series of foreign films called Global Lens 2012 from may 31 - August 2.


Following this series, the museum will offer a series of 5 classic comedy films selected by the Palm Springs International film Society. Offering a film from each decade spanning the 1930's through the 1970's, these films will surely delight our audiences.

June 7, 2012 Craft (Riscado), Brazil, 2010, 85 minutes Portuguese and French, with subtitles in English Director: Gustavo Pizzi This drama of everyday tragedy in the working world of an artist portrays Bianca, a talented but underemployed Rio de Janeiro actress who performs for private events dressed as female movie icons. An audition leads to a rare opportunity and possible redemption for years of social marginality. But her world may still prove too insecure, even for one as gifted and deserving as Bianca.
